Greg Stuhr to Replace Jay Reiss in B'way's Bee on October 25

Jay Reiss is leaving The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee after the October 23 performance to pursue his writing career in Hollywood. Greg Stuhr will begin performances as Vice Principal Douglas Panch on October 25.

Stuhr previously appeared on Broadway in Taller than a Dwarf. His other New York stage credits include Brutality of Fact, Frame 312, Can't Let Go and Romance.

Reiss has been with The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee since its beginning--appearing in the show back when it was C-R-E-P-U-S-C-U-L-E. He writes the definitions and unhelpful sentences used throughout the show and will continue to do so despite leaving the cast.

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee will continue to star Derrick Baskin, Deborah S. Craig, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Dan Fogler, Lisa Howard, Celia Kennan-Bolger, Jose Llana and Sarah Saltzberg.
